Hi everybody!

I'm preparing a peregrination to Santiago. I'll start in Pontevedra on mid April.
This is the firts time i'm going there anda i need some help with some questions. I hope you can help me.
I would like to know the localization and the contacts of the Albergues in Portas (that someone told me that was an old factory), Teo and Santiago. Can you also tell me the costs of it?
And about the food, are there supermarkets or grocery stores where i can buy food along the way?

thanks

and "bom camino"

Hi there.

I just did the camino portugues starting from Porto.

If you are starting in Pontevedra, Spain, just make sure you are still walking 100km from Pontevedra to Santiago de Compostela so you'll be able to obtain your compostela. Most people start the route in Tui right at the Spain-Portuguese border.

I don't have any of the contacts of the albergues and you don't need any. In Portugal, the costs of the albergues is 3 euros per night. In Galicia Spain, the cost of the albergue is 5 euros per night.

There are supermercados or little cafes along the way or near the albergue. There are also 'menu del dia' (menu of the day) which is offered to pilgrims and townsfolk for only 5 euros (some in Portugal were 3 euros!)

Good luck!
