Camino update

There was much snow on the Pyrenees last week, this was lying over a lot of mud. By now if its thawing it could be pretty horrible. There has been much rain in Navarre and many of the paths are very muddy, this has not been helped by our friends the cyclists as in places the whole width of the trail for many yards is deep, thick, gooey mud. The way down from Alto De Perdon is awful at the moment, no mud just huge boulders and loads of scree waiting to present knee and ankle strains to the unwary. Rioja has been quite dry for the last several days and the paths are quite good. Rain is forcast locally in Rioja and Castille/Leon over the next few days.

Buen Camino
