I picked up a brochure last year called CaminodeSantiago Digital that lists a number of useful links on the camino in the region of Castilla y Leon. (Redicilla del Camino to about Villafranca del Bierzo).
On one you can buy camino products like cheese and wine, chorizo and honey on line. The website includes recipes, lists of producers, a forum etc. http://www.mercadodelcamino.com

Another useful site is http://www.iultreia.net which has an English link to info on the Camino Frances, Via de la Plata and the Camino Madrid in Castilla y Leon. It has a click on, inter-active map that leads to all sorts of info.

Then there is peregrine@alerta which is a site with info on ‘mobility services on the camino’. There are English links on the information and Guia pages.
What is it?
What does it offer?
At the moment peregrine@ alerta offers users the following services:
• WEB portal giving information on the various services available.
• WAP portal with all the information concerning the stages and places on the Route of Santiago within Castile and Leon.
• On demand information services, by means of which users can request the necessary information by sending an SMS message to 5295. For example, they may ask about the hostels in the area or the resting places on a specific stage of the Route of Santiago.
• Each SMS message sent to the number 5295 costs 0.15€.
• Subscription service to news and alerts bulletins, which allow the user to be constantly informed of the news or events related to the Route of Santiago. This service is free.
• Sending of messages from the WEB portal to other users registered in peregrine@ alerta.
• Daily news on the WEB and WAP portals.
Information request services
By sending an SMS to 5295, users can ask for the information they need on the Route of Santiago in Castile and Leon. This information is always associated with a particular stage or place on the route. The cost of each of the messages sent to the number 5295 is 0.15€. In order to facilitate the use of these services, the user may employ a series of identification codes for the stages and places, although for the latter the full name or part of it may be given.
(See website for the codes for info on a map for the stage you intend walking, info on refuges, weather forecast, restaurants etc. in Castilly y Leon )http://www.peregrinoalerta.jcyl.es/scsiau/Satellite/pr/es/Peregrino/Page/PeregrinoPlantillaGuiaUso/1173105206929/_/_/_?asm=jcyl&tipoLetra=x-small
