Hi all
I start my Camino on the 24th and have been watching the weather.
Just wondering what the conditions are if anyone is en route at the moment

We are starting the same date and also keeping an eye on it via AccuWeather app. Would be great to hear of any experiences. I saw a post last week of snow still

Exactly.

@sprinto and @billandjothorne, over thinking/watching, even worrying about current conditions so far out is interesting at best - but pointless.
On the Primitivo last year it went from clear to relatively thick fog on the Hospitales in MINUTES. In July. But the path was still obvious, so it was no issue. We were forewarned of the possibility, and also that it was NOT considered risky.

It’s why you check with your Hospitalero the morning before setting out. They know the local conditions, and which of the weather forecasters are most accurate.

It can snow, rain, be foggy - or you could have glorious sunshine. A day or two before you’ll have some idea - not before.

It’s a wonderful Camino, enjoy!

Shoes or boots is what I was really thinking about , sorry
Usually wear and prefer boots but not sure

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Wear whatever you’re most comfortable with. Always.

And if you’re wondering/ concerned about snow- which you could get, even into May/ June, let alone in 3 weeks- then it’s a bonus that you prefer boots.

@Peterexpatkiwi thanks - looking forward to it. I watched your Primitivo videos recently and enjoyed them. Keep the videos coming

Many thanks, much appreciated. Especially when I look at them and think how much I missed. When it comes to videos, I have a lot to learn.

I have to say, I’d walk the Primitivo again in a heartbeat
