Have any of you left the "official" route in Logroño and walked to Haro? If so, where did you rejoin, Santo Domingo de Calzada? I have walked along the Ebro River. It was a wonderful place to walk and I would not mind going that way during my camino. I just don't know if there is a walkable route to get me there and back while still continuing in a westerly direction.

Thanks for any help.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
A lovely sidetrip to a wonderful little town. the walk from Logroño to Haro is 40 km, too far for me, so I walked from Azofra only 20km up a very small road. Haro is enchanting and offers the visitor many sights plus an opportunity to sample local products, namely, Rioja wine, the recognised center of production sales and tasting despite claimes otherwise from Logroño. I began my visit in the recommended Feinschmecker method, that is taste and, well, spit, however the locals know their business all too well and at the end of the day, next day actually, took a bus to Santo Domingo de Calzada in order to rest my weary head. You have been warned!

Or you could walk the Camino Vasco Interior from Irun to Santo Domingo and you will pass Haro. Very good municipal too there. And two reasonably priced hostales.
Pintxos are the best!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
