This forum is such a gift! I did part of the Camino Frances last year with my daughter (Leon to Santiago) and it was an incredible experience - I can't wait to get on the road again. This time, my husband and I
I wish we had more time, but given work and family commitments we have a week and do not want to rush - just enjoy the Camino for as much as we can do in that time.
Any experienced folks on the Le Puy start that can validate reasonable day stages for us? Great stopping places?
We are the B & B type -not fancy but beyond albergues at this point in our lives. Hearty & fit during the day, need sleep at night. Thanks in advance for any tips.

I am leaving Le Puy on 10th May and walking to Conques in 11 days including one rest day. I'm doing it with a Ramblers group from England. If you look at their website you can see the stages. I might meet you!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
You could do Le Puy to Aumont-Aubrac in a week. Or Aumont-Aubrac to Figeac, which would include Conques. There are good Rail connections in Le Puy, Aumont-Aubrac, and Figeac. May is the most popular month for the French to walk, so making advance Reservations using Miam Miam Dodo wouldn't hurt. My blog has stage and lodging details from my 2010 walk on this section.
