Does anyone know if Ferme Gainekoetxea at Ostabat is still operating? I've tried several times to make contact but with no response...

Keep trying. I think they are open, but may be dormant for the winter.

It was certainly open on 29 September 2018 as we had a delightful night staying there on our Le Puy walk to Santiago. My advice would be to keep trying to contact them as they might simply be taking a brief holiday over this Christmas and New Year period. Good luck.

We stayed there mid October and it was one of the most memorable evenings of our Camino.
