Finding places to stay along the ways

Time of past OR future Camino
Walking from Galsgow to Santiago to Rome.
Hello everyone. I am hoping there is someone out there who can offer advice. I will be walking from Glasgow to Santiago along various routes. The information I have found d regarding g Ways in the UK seems good insofar as the routes themselves. However, identifying places to stay is where I am most challenged. I am doing this on very low budget so hotels are primarily out of the question. How does one go about finding places to stay other than camping which I am prepared to do. Thank you

probably hostels in cities. otherwise yha, couchsurfing.com, airbnb? may be challenging to find places on a specific route outside cities. if you can find others to join you for part of it then that would halve the cost.

May be associations of friends of St. Jame's Way might know poeple, mostly former ore active pilgrims, who'd like to host you? Good luck.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Lots of the French camino/St jacques associations keep lists of a accommodation for pilgrims including pilgrim hosts (staying in someone's home) but it is a matter of looking for each list for each region. It depends on which route through France what is available eg Voie de Tours has more pilgrim gites than Littoral.
As for the UK it's probably more difficult... not sure where to suggest an particular source of lists. On less travelled walks I have often had to do alot of my own research using Google maps, airbnb etc
