Finisterre/Santiago to Porto

Hi all,

Just looking for some advice/tips.

I am currently in Sarria on my St Jean - Santiago walk. I am definitely going to carry on to Finisterre and then I want to walk down along the coast to Porto.

Just wandering if anyone has done this and what route they followed.

Would it make more sense to get a bus back to Santiago and follow the Portuguese costal route to Porto? Or is there are route from Finisterre?

How easy is it to follow the route backwards?

I would prefer to walk the Senda Literal however, after reading various comments, it appears a lot of people end up on the other costal route.

Any help/advice/tips would be much appreciated.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
We did this several years ago. We did not locate any "formal" route to Porto but just followed the road, keeping the sea over our right shoulder the whole time. It is a beautiful "route" and was very easy to follow keeping the sea idea in mind.
