Time of past OR future Camino
April/May 2018
I'm planning to start the CF from SJPdP on Sat 22 September and hope to continue out to Finisterre. I travel from the UK by ferry to Santander, stay overnight, then bus to Pamplona, stay overnight and arrive in SJPdP on Friday 21 Sept. I'll be walking it alone (at first). Been planning it for 2 years, pretty well got everything ready. Making use of some quite hot sunny weather here in the UK to train with an almost fully loaded rucksack on 15 to 20 mile hikes in our wonderful countryside trying to pick out routes that involve lots of uphill/downhill sections. Feeling in really good shape. Lass than 10 weeks to go. Bring it On!!

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Sounds like you've got it all sorted! I'm starting my Camino on the 6th of September. Hopefully you don't overtake me! Buen Camino!

Novel route from the UK. Are you a nervous flier, or do you just like sea voyages?

Given your level of training, going over the Route Napoleon to Roncesvalles in one hit will be a doddle.

With a bit of luck it may be cooler in Spain! Buen Camino and the best of British luck!

Please let us know how you get on.

You seem to be trying well.
Enjoy

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I walked in September 2017 and found it to be a great time of year. I encountered some rain but also many beautiful sunny days without extreme heat. I found the albergues a bit busy on the weekends, so it was a good idea to book ahead. I am walking again this September, but probably starting at Leon. Sounds like you are really well prepared. Buen Camino!
