Transporting a Computer Safely to Santiago for Work

I'm heading back to SJPdP in mid-April to walk the Frances. I plan to stay in Santiago a month or so after and want to have my computer to do some work. Do you have ideas about how to get my computer to Santiago safely? It doesn't seem feasible to fly into Santiago, leave it at Ivar's then find my way to SJPdP - that would take about 24 hours extra travel time. Thoughts?
