Need advice from someone before I tear my hair out! Please!
Why can't I find a morning flight from Santiago to Stansted with Ryanair on 2nd July ? All I get is a 1530 flight which is too late as we have to travel to Edinburgh that day. Well not have to but want to!!
Surely there are morning flights? I have tried various sites
Maybe its too early in the year to book. What do you think?
Heather

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Obviously there's just one flight per day from SdC to Stansted.
I took a peek to close by airports, but no luck. Actually no flights at all to Stansted from La Coruna, Vigo or Valladolid.
A bit more luck from Asturias (Oviedo): EasyJet, 10:40 - 11:30, 74€
and from Porto: RyanAir, 06:35 - 09:00, 51€.
I was searching with www.skyscanner.com.

EDIT: There is morning flight from SdC to Gatwick though: RyanAir, 10:15 - 11:10, 79€.

Hi Heather.
Have you tried easyjet from Santiago to Gatwick.. It's not stansted but it's London and may get you there earlier in order to make your onward journey?

The easyjet flight gets you into Gatwick at 11.10 on the 2nd July.. 79 euros..

Thank you so much Kinky one and Whariwharangi and Primus
I have now booked Easyjet to Gatwick at 1015 arriving 1110. I usually fly Ryanair and didn't think of Gatwick up to now .
I can also book from there to Edinburgh a flight at 1340. Hopefully enough time to collect bags, they might even book them straight through!
Thanks again that's a relief !

They will not book straight through. Easyjet/Ryanair is Point to Point only. Safe flights

Hi Heather,
You probably know this but if you are doing the usual tourist things in Edinburgh don't miss the Royal Yacht Britannia, super attraction, and also lots of attractions give "senior" discounts" if asked.
Regards
George

sorry john in wrong place.

Hi johns and George,
We will probably only have a day in Edinburgh as we go up to Loch Tay and also Drumnadrochit for a few days.
Want to get the boys into the Highlands and breathe fresh air. Try to keep the Camino feeling going for longer!!
I have paid about $900 to fly with Easyjet from Santiago to Edinburgh via Gatwick. Terrible exchange rate!!
