(or Josef)

I'm a student currently on a gap year and I'm planning on doing the Camino early June into July this year (well, that's current thinking on it..), starting from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.. There'll probably be a number of stupid questions from me so consider this something of an advance warning!

thanks,

Hi Joe,

Welcome!

I'm sure you have a bunch of questions and you've come to the right forum. Here you'll find folks that have walked the Milky Way several times and those who've only begun by desire to do so.

May I humbly suggest that you review the Class of 2008 to see who may be on the Camino at the same time as you, then reach out to get an idea of what preparations they've made to make Their Camino deeply satisfying and meaningful. Lastly, the threads on equipment, albergues/refugios and transport are easily found and abound with accurate and helpful information.

Again welcome and Buen Camino,

Arn

Hi Joe,
Welcome to the Forum :) I don't think there is such a thing as a stupid question - folks are on this site to help and are using whatever experience they have. We have all been in the situation of 'not knowing' and probably had a few situations where we could/should have asked a few more questions.
Arn has pointed you in the right direction, but you may have a question no-one has thought about before and asking it will do everyone a favour.
If you are passing through Rabanal in the 2nd half of June call in at refugio Gaucelmo and say 'Hi', perhaps even stay, I'll be one of the hospitaleros.
Buen Camino
