Hi I'm Cally from Ohio, USA. Hope to make my first trip next Sept. 2012 to celebrate my 60th Birthday year. My older brother has already signed on to go with me. May bring husband & daughter too. Very excited about getting prepped for the hike of a lifetime. Cheers.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Excellent - I feel that what you are planning is wonderful. The range of people will give a great wealth of different insights.
I wish you every kind thought for each and every step and stage of your way.

Hi Cally -

What a great way to celebrate your 60th! And with so many loved ones close to you!

I'm sure you will find it the experience of your life!

Allow me to suggest. that you research the wealth of information here on the forum, including "Five Tips for the Novice Pilgrim" by earnrunner as part of of your preparations

Go well and safely, and buen camino

Hubby and I are doing the camino france in June/July 2012. He will be turning 60 in July. I am the driving force right now, though he did tell me he wanted to do something different for his 60th

It has been so much fun "listening" to everyone's advise on this forum!

Hi Cally,

frequently-asked-questions/topic11101.html

is a thread you will also find useful.

It is about walking with a companion.

Do not let your husband use it as an excuse to get out of doing the Camino. :D

Tell him that he will not understand why you are so full of what you experienced unless he travels with you.

Just to let you all know I'm prepped & ready to go. Leave for Spain on August 31st with my brother. We meet up with a hiking group in Bilboa on Sept. 3rd to walk the Camino del Norte. Will be carrying my green pack & wearing my red cap. Please say hi if you see me along the way. Am so very excited to get started. Hope to greet some forum members as I go along. Cheers to all, Cally & brother Denny Emory (from Jackson Hole, WY.)
