I've been pussyfooting around the forum as a guest for a while - have learnt so much, thank you.
Now I've decided to move out of the shadows :roll: and say hello.
My daughter and I are leaving St. Jean around the middle of September - Santiago who knows when 8)

Chinacat - sure you are much less fragile - many will be with you about that time .. walk in a casual, non-destination way and all will be well . - enjoy. :wink:

Thank you for the lovely welcome
I certainly intend to walk "in a casual, non-destination way" - I am becoming a pilgrim, on an inner journey, trusting the angels to help me get my somewhat aging body along with me. For my part, I am doing all I can - ie trying to get fitter, trying to lose some weight, not bring too much 'stuff' with me etc.
I have been met with much kindness and goodwill from everyone I've come into contact with, in preparing for this.
Rita and Mike - have a wonderful camino, both of you - I fear we won't catch up with you, Rita - though we'll only be one day behind you, Mike - so maybe we'll meet
I feel I'm organising everything to get us started and then just walking and trusting ......is it like this for most of us ?
