Hi pilgrims,

how I wrote before, I plann to strat Camino in June 26th. I will begin Camino from Ponferrada.

Due to overcrowding of Camino Frances and Albergues as well, I plan to sleeping and cooking outside. There is any possibility buy GAZ in Ponferrada or another cities?

Will I able to buy any foodstuffs along the Camino or I will need some food supplies? There is some possibility use the Albergues for take a shower, eventually for cooking?

Thanks for your interest and help.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

We bought a 'la bombona de gas' from a camping shop on our first camino. Ponferrada is quite a big town and you shouldn't have a problem buying one there.
Check at the albergues when they open to see if you can use their facilities. Most have kitchens but many don't have sufficient pots and pans! If the albergue isn't full, rather stay there for the night.
There are many small 'supermecados' or other shops along the way where you can buy supplies.
There are a few camp sites and places to camp from Ponferrada:

RABANAL DEL CAMINO:
Wild camping possible in a field at Rabanal or the open area just beyond the village: No facilities

Galicia
O’CEBREIRO: Wild camping is possible in field at the back of the village.

SARRIA: Wild camping possible on the banks of the river – access from Pont Riberio.

PORTOMARIN: Santa Maria – Turn right after crossing the bridge and then right again by the panaderia. 1km down the lane.

ARZUA: All year. Don Manuel: Turn left 500m from town centre – behind the hotel. Bar, restaurant, pool.

SAN MARCOS: Restaurant: Pool: Bar – no shop.

SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA:
Monte do Gozo: 1st : 20/6 to 25/9 Tel: 981 558 942
1 227 persons: Adults – 4.18€ Children – 3.46€ Single tent – 4.18€ Family tent – 7.00€ No pets allowed: Restaurant: Cafeteria: Mini-market: Hot water showers: Post & Telephone: Credit cards accepted.

Good luck!

In late May the mini-market at Monte de Gozo was closed... windows covered in paper. But there is a good supermercado half way between the Cathedral and Plaza Cervantes.
there is an excellent coin laundry with top of the line Maytag washers and driers at Monte de Gozo.

Good luck on your tenting.
