I have to catch a flight from Biarritz, France on Sunday morning, October 28. What is the best way (convenience, time, cost) to get there from Santiago de Compostela?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The train is quite good - change at Hendaye at the border. It takes about 12/13 hours to travel what you walked in what? 4 1/2 weeks?

I think it leaves just after breakfast but there is a buffet car.

A friend caught the bus which travels closer to the coast but she said the toilet left a lot to be desired and you had to change vehicles and hope schedules married up.

Crossing the border is a bit of a hassle as Spain and France use different rail gauges.. You can get the suburban railway (Topo) from Irun to Hendaye, then a train to Biarritz
You could get off at San Sebastian and catch the direct bus to Biarritz airport, www.ouibus.com

Thanks for all your help.
