Came across this Facebook page titled Humans of the Camino by Joe Laverty. He describes his wonderful work as a series of portraits, showing the pilgrims who walk the Camino de Santiago - the ancient pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain.

Thanks, Wayfarer. It's such a gentle and beautiful work as the images speak a story that complements the pilgrims' words.

You can find lots of threads and lots of answers to that question in the Forum. It looks to me like the reasons boil down to a relatively small number of reasons. But find those threads, and see for yourself! Buen camino.
