Interesting facts on number of albergues:
Le Pecten is the magazine of the Amis de Saint Jacques de Compostelle in Belgium. The society counted the number of albergues on the Camino Francés in 2008, 2011 and in 2014:

Interessing and curious to know how this related to the number of pilgrims on the trail in the same years.

Interesting:
- rise in albergues numbers are 26% (2008-11) and 34% (2011-14)
- whereas rise in pilgrim numbers shows almost the opposite trend: 34% (2008-11) and 22% (2011-14).

But altogether both trends are quite similar. Albergues rise is 70% and pilgrim numbers 64%.
