Itinerary recommendation?

Hi all,

My name is Sol and I plan to walk from Porto to Santiago (coastal) starting August 31st for about 8-9 days.
I just decided to go on the Pilgrim this week which also means I am lack of information.

I want to 1) clear up my mind (recently broke up with my fiance), 2) feel and enjoy scenery, 3) meet nice new people over this trip. I am planning on staying Albergue through the trip but don't have any information yet.

Can anyone help me with the route (with map) and schedules (with Albergue location)?
Sorry for asking a lot but I would really like to take this chance to draw my future.

Hi, Sol,
Welcome to the forum. Those are all great resources that falcon mentions, but for info on the coastal itinerary, I think you need other sources. (I don't have the Brierley guide so I may be wrong, it may help with the coastal route). Actually some of the posts on this forum will give you great info, several people have reported back recently from a few or more days on the coast, but if you can muddle through Portuguese try this site--

8-9 days walking will be a bit faster than the average walker, but do-able for those who walk longer distances.

Thank you very much for the information. As you mentioned, this journey might be a little challenge but I decided to set a goal to be little harsh on me. I will take your advice to find reviews in the forum as well as to review the url you provided
