Can anyone recommend a book that focuses on Stories and Legends of cities on the Camino?
Brierly had several stories I recall. But I'm looking for a book that has taken the task of documenting legends in a village by village manner.

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
Start with "The Pilgrimage Road to Santiago - The Complete Cultural Handbook" by David Gitlitz and Linda Davidson. A village to village, hamlet to town stroll along the Camino Francés outlining history, art, architecture, stories and legends. It's a hefty book but I did carry it twice all the way toSantiago. Should you have nothing against technology, there is a Kindle option from Amazon. Another more general book is "The Miracles of Saint James" edited by Coffey, Davidson, and Dunn. Another "classical" collection is of course "The Pilgrims Guide to Santiago" by William Melczer. Good reading and Buen Camino.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Scruffy has covered my field - I have the print version of the Gitlitz and Davidson book, but thought it too heavy to carry. It really came into its own when I downloaded the Kindle version and on the Francés I refer to it constantly, as I walk.
