Look Away, Pilgrim...

Time of past OR future Camino
Frances SJPP to SdC Oct/Nov 2015
Frances Burgos toSdC March/April 2016
W. Highland Way August 2016
Camino Somewhere September 2017
There comes a time when a thread or conversation becomes too much.

Take a break, and look away. Read about Leon. Read about poles on planes. Read about blisters.

Take care of yourselves, pilgrims. Give yourself plenty of time for looking away. Check back in on the bad or difficult press in a week's time.

Say about 100 Hail Mary's while on a long, long hike, and then drink two glasses of the finest red wine in the cellar.

Be content. Everything is good in the end. If it's not good, it's not the end yet.

I'll start it on Thursday. Playing the tourist in Seville and loving it!
I am so excited and so happy for you!
You must be having an amazing time! My daughter gets married on Saturday, and I am doing wedding stuff, taking a break and hiking, back and forth every other day. I am also treating an Achilles tendon that is acting up, and trying so hard to keep my touchy back happy. I feel as though I will have JUST enough time after the wedding to finish my preparations....such as, where did my bank card go? And I need to activate a new card, get a smart phone set up for my husband, etc.

I am currently freezing meals so I don't feel so guilty about leaving my husband on his own. We are very good friends, and I want him to feel supported while I'm gone, but in fact, we have a big, busy farm with lots of work. He will be busy. I've purchased him several second-hand store gifts with funny meanings, and am going to write to him from Spain once a week with the gift hiding place!

The coolest thing I found was a marble bull, with all of its parts attached, if you catch my drift! It must weigh ten pounds. On the price tag is a sticker that says "as is" and it was about $6 USD. When my husband and I met, he told me that he had had an industrial accident and was missing part of a finger....and for some reason, just seeing that very remarkable marble bull with JUST one horn missing reminded me of him. Yes, something was gone, but everything that truly mattered was certainly there, including his very kind heart (ha ha! what did you think I was going to say, right??).

Anyway, I am smiling thinking of you in Seville, and that's no bull!
