Nothing set is stone yet, but I'm planning the full 800km from St Jean Port De Pied some time in April, May or June 2016.
If you might be interested in joining me for all or part of the journey say hello.

Hi Mike, I too walked the same route. Wayfarer is right; I was on my own, but when I started out on Sept 25, there were 23 others starting. We had all stayed at the same pension Beilari, which I would highly recommend, but you do need a reservation. And the companship just kept growing. I opted to walk alone, but when I was missing friends, they just appeared. You would not be alone. Buen Camino

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Forming your Camino Family on the first couple of days out of St. Jean Pied de Port is one of the seminal experiences on the Camino Frances. Do not fret about having folks to walk with.

During the first few days, you will speak to, eat with and share lodging with upwards of a dozen folks from all over the world. You can sort them out and determine who best to tag along with. These folks will be your family for the next month or so. You will watch after and take care of each other. Many folks make friends for life from these experiences.

Enjoy the adventure. The journey IS the destination...

I hope this helps.

My 19 year old son and myself will be starting out of Sahagun on May 29th. Maybe we'll see you.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

There will be lots of people starting every day from SJPP at that time of year. No need to pre-arrange anything, just start walking and chat as you go with whoever you like. The Camino has been described as the longest speed dating walk in the world.

I will be starting in SJPP on the 18th of May.

Buen Camino,

Mike

I will get into SJPP on March 31st. I will start my first camino - Camino Frances on 1st of April. I will be glad to have campanions.
Buen Camino!

Hi Mike, we might meet too as I'll be starting on March 24 from SJPDP. cheers, Buen Camino.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
You definitely don't have to worry about being alone. It is rare to see groups of greater than 2 setting out from St Jean so everyone joins in and comes close. If you end up walking Solo on day 1 to Roncesvalles I'm sure you'll meet people over your pilgrims meal at dinner.

Nevertheless I have today just booked my flights to Paris for May. I'll be catching the TGV direct from Paris CDG after my flight from Asia and spending the night of the 24th in Bordeaux. Will arrive in St Jean on 25th May and 26th May is "Go-Time"

Buen camino

Hello Mike,

I have walked the Camino previously from Logrono to Santiago (300+ miles) and plan to walk again this year. I agree with the folks above, but I did commit to my wife that I would go with someone else. So, am also looking for a walking companion starting on or about May 26th from SJPP and going to Santiago in roughly 34 to 35 days. Then on to Finisterre is a possibility. If you are interested in coordinating plans, please contact me ASAP at Greg_madsen@renolan.com . Looing forward to hearing from you.
