Luggage transfer Lisbon to Santiago

Time of past OR future Camino
Camiino de Santiago 2012
I am walking the Camino Portuguese in September 2017 and will have a suitcase I need transferring to Santiago from Lisbon. When I walked the Camino Frances in 2016 the Burricot service in St Jean was available to do the same. Now I'm walking from Portugal into Spain I can't find a similar service. The difficulty is I'm traveling from Australia and will be spending time in Europe after the walk, hence the suitcase.
The accommodation I booked in Santiago doesn't have any information & the Burricot service in St Jean also doesn't know anything.
There's a business opportunity here waiting for someone to take up! Much appreciated for your information.
Gracias
Juliet

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

You might consider taking two days to go from Lisbon to Santiago by bus/train with your suitcase. Ivar, the person who runs this website, offers left luggage service in Santiago.

I totally sympathise with you as I am pretty much in the same boat, except that I am leaving Oz a lot sooner than you are! I did part of the Via Podiensis last year and luggage transfer was super easy to arrange. This year I have asked my hotel in Santarem about luggage transfer and they told me there was no such thing and that my best bet was to find a taxi everyday. I have now decided to forget about it and limit myself to a 5kg backpack.

Don't despair, I found a company who have a great website and after several chats, I think I'll use them
www.eurosender.com They quoted my E29 for a 10kg bag to forward from Lisbon to Santiago, and will take about 2 days. All the details are on line. Fabulous! Good luck and have a wonderful camino.

I found a great company who will transfer the luggage, so try this: www.eurosender.com and see what you think. The rate is very reasonable, and you can calculate the cost yourself online, and have a chat if you need further help.
Thanks for all the replies.

Ah, thanks! I have, however, organised my trip in a such a way that I probably can survive with a 5kg pack. With Eurosender, I am wary of the need to potentially stay at the specified pickup/delivery spot all day to wait for the courier to turn up. But anyway, good to keep this option in mind for future trips! I hope your Camino Portugues goes well.
