Maps ın Roncesvalles

Dear Camino Friends,
My friend and İ are starting our pilgrimage in a month. We are wondering if we are able to get all of the appropriate maps and the passports in Roncesvalles, or if we should head to St Jean pier de Port to collect these.
Any ideas would be very helpful.

There is no need to start in SJPP for that reason you can get all you need in the way of credential/pilgrim passport etc. at Roncesvalles.

But there´s another reason to start from SJPP. The crossing over the Pyrenees is breathtaking. Check the weather and do not cross if there´s a storm brewing.
