Martigny to Orsieres

It rained almost all last night in Martigny and I started out in deep puddles of water.
Since it was going to be a muddy trail I opted for a long uphill roadwalk.
This stage has minimal support most of the way and what support there was was closed.
Thankfully I found several huge fruit groves and picked a few ripe fruits to enjoy along the way.
Beautiful scenery throughout the day and a huge Calzone and a beer for lunch in Orsieres.

Too bad about the weather.. however sounds like you were able to make the most of the situation. Hats off to you !! May you have more wonderful days on the Via.
