How much money should you allow per day?
I know that ATMs are few and far between in Spain and I don't like carrying lots of cash.

Also, every little town usually has an ATM so it should not be too far between each one.

Based on our experience, consider taking two ATM cards, each with a different bank. We were in Santo Domingo, and for some reason, one card was frozen over a weekend, but the other card worked without problem. Steve
