Motorhome Parking

Time of past OR future Camino
Camiño Inglés 2018
Hi
So my wife and I are in Galicia traveling in our Motorhome from the UK.
And we want to start walking the Camiño Inglés in the next few days in honour of a friend I lost just the other week.

Does anyone know where we could securely park our motorhome in Ferrol or SdC whilst we walk?

Paying to do this is not an issue, we just want to keep our possessions safe.

Thanks in advance.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Hi, Lucas,

I'm very sorry for your loss and kind of understand the Camino you want to walk maybe even partly in a memory of your friend.

Two years ago I wanted to purchase something I can't really mention here in Ferrol and it was done deal in 15 minutes. I would wing it in your case.

The other and more secure option would be to contact "our" people in Santiago (@ivar , @SYates , Faith at pilgrim House on Rua Nova etc.) and maybe they can help you with parking lot for few days.

Ultreia!

PS (Well, talking of and SY was the first to respond )

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Here in Santiago are a few parking garages available that are under surveillance, for example: https://www.parkia.es/en/aparcamien...e-plaza-del-obradoiro-santiago-de-compostela/

Anything else I can do to help, just tell me!

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I checked out the link but unfortunately that garage has a height limit of 1.8mtrs and I failed to mention that our motorhome is 3.1mtrs heigh.
But thank you for the suggestion anyway.
If you know of any others that would be appreciated.

Regards

Thanks for the reply

Not sure if you will find something here...https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/where-to-leave-the-car.4220/
Another thought I had was to find a village, and maybe an albergue... or a convent...somewhere small, with possibility for a personal contact/deal arrangement...

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Then what about "parking" it on our local camping ground here in Santiago? See https://www.campingascancelas.com/en/pages/rates.html

Look at this website www.campercontact.com

From a brief look, there appear to be more options in La Coruna than elsewhere, but La Coruna is easily connectable by train from both Ferral and Santiago

Thank you everyone for the replies.
I now have a solution as we will now be walking with a fellow traveler who also has a smaller vehicle
that we can park in a more central location whilst I leave my camper at another site.

We will also take the A Coruna route and walk another early on in the new year.

Thanks again you have been a great help.

Yeah!!!!
