The first two weeks there is a lot of climbing and descending, pay very careful attention to your feet as blisters and jammed toenails materialize. after the first two weeks there is a week where the walk will be less demanding and you can recover.

I am planning to take 2 pairs of shoes... what do you think?
 
I would, your walking boots/shoes and something lighter. I liked my trail sandals for everything else, very light and comfortable after being in my Keen's for 5-7 hours. Some people took running shoes, others sandals.
