Davebugg, I live about 30 minutes upstream from Glenwood Springs, and I know the venue of which you speak.
There is congestive heart failure in my family, and I get a cardiac checkup every six months. So far, at 78, I seem to be holding up. I've...
Both the Olympus and the Timp have more cushioning (stack height) than the Lone Peak, which actually has rather modest cushioning. I tend to move between Hokas and Altras, but lately have settled on Hokas for their superior cushioning.
I wore Altras in 2016 including the Timp in 2018. I keep reading about people having difficult adjusting to zero drop. I didn't notice any zero drop effect myself, and I can't help but wonder does a 5-8mm from really make any difference?
Well, I can get by ok in Spanish, but as I assume you have observed on your Camino, we tend to meet people from all over the world. While many Europeans tend to speak English, that is not the case with the rest of the world. On a number of...
I did a search on the Forum and did not get any hits on "Translation Earbuds" of the type described here. It's rather impressive and, well . . . futuristic, or maybe I'm just behind the curve on this kind of thing.
Anyway, has anyone used them...

I have opined before that I think June is an ideal month--verdant and not "crowded". On 4 of my 5 Camino, I started about May 20 finishing towards th end of June. There were plenty of days I barely saw anyone while walking. By the late middle of...
OK, I get it. I think.
And I'm sorry to disappoint you.
I have no definition for 'it' and it's a very personal thing anyway.
This is starting to feel like an interrogation of my personal thoughts, perspectives and beliefs.
Which...
I have approached the Camino from Denver to Lisbon, Barcelona, Paris and Madrid. I like Madrid because the overnight flights tend to get in between 8:00 and 9:00 the following morning, which allows me to catch a noon flight from Madrid to San...
Starting with a 40L in 2016, I am now down to a 24L--Osprey with the same robust shoulder and waist belt as their 50L+ packs. Maybe I've been able to get down to a 24L (and still have extra room) because I typically walk in June, so no sleeping...
