New route to Muxia

This short article doesn’t give many details, but suggests that there is a new alternative route from Santiago to Muxia that doesn’t follow the Finisterre route. I can’t find anything else about it, but I will do more digging. It goes through the following towns: Brandomil, Seoane, Fontecada, A Pereira, Antes, Baíñas Berdoias. They are calling it the camino to Muxia through Brandomil.

It may go through Negreira, but I’m not sure. Any info at all would be welcome, as I know that people love to walk to Muxia but may be happy to walk a new route.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I have done a little more research to see what I can find out, and it looks like there is historical evidence that this was in fact a route followed by medieval pilgrims. Well, at least that is what they say. https://www.adiantegalicia.es/repor...do-camino-a-muxia-por-brandomil-y-bainas.html

I have been unable to find any wikiloc or other gps tracks, and I haven't seen any evidence that this trail is marked. Without knowing exactly where it goes, I have pieced together a couple of news articles and facebook pages, and these seem to be the stages they propose:

Santiago - Negreira (same as route to Finisterre)
Negreira -Brandomil
Brandomil- Berdoias
Berdoias - Muxia

One last thing -- no accommodation that I can find in Brandomil or Berdoias, so this may all be an academic question for now.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

Oh!

I do hope this is true.

I’d love a new route.

Laurie, I'm finding some references to this route as the "Camiño Grandimirum", with one gpx stage linking Negreira and Brandomil: https://fr.wikiloc.com/itineraires-marcher/etapa-2-negreira-brandomil-camino-grandimirum-24748949. It mostly just follows minor roads/tracks parallel to the AC-546. Haven't been able to find anything between Brandomil and Muxia, aside from this bicyclist who just followed the highway: https://www.wikiloc.com/bicycle-touring-trails/santiago-muxia-camino-muxitarra-3-06-2016-14168951

Would be cool to be able to expand the Santiago-Muxia-Finisterre loop.
