I am walking from Fatima to SDC on a somewhat tight schedule.
My plan is to walk 30 km north to Ribeiro do Farrio and then on to Rabacal where I will join the Camino Portugues. Does anyone have experience staying in Ribeira do Farrio. The listed accommodation is at Farrio's Bar however I can't find out if it is open in April and what it is like. I am fine sleeping at a bar if it is safe and clean however I am a little worried about walking 30 kms and then finding out it is closed. There is nowhere else to stay within 10kms so it would be a bit difficult.
I have tried using the caminho.com.pt website however there is not much information on this accommodation. I wonder if anyone has personal experience and can also comment on the walking conditions from Fatima to Rabacal.
I realize walking due East to Tomar might be my best option
Thank you.
Tazz,That exactly the information I am looking for.
I simply need a place to sleep and eat.
that being said, I am torn about a going to Tomar
Rodrigo, Checking out your profile. I don't think you have walked enough caminos to be giving advice!!!!! hahaha. You are a lucky man. Buen camino RodrigoHi Tazz. About the Farrios Bar acomodation they have 3 individual rooms and and 3 rooms with bunk beds and a bar with basic food. if you are tierd In need of a place to rest it will be ok. If you are looking for a special acomodation maybe you should look for an alternative place. Personally I don’t know other accommodations alternatives close to caminho. Please share any alternatives.
About the stage from Ribeira do Farrio to Rabaçal please check our guide
Because the distance it’s longer (37,2km)
The alternative via Caminho Nascente (Tomar) it’s longer, because you are walking east and then north. But definitely I advise every pilgrim to visit Tomar. You have to walk it and arrive in Tomar to understand my words. This is why we have created the “Caminhos Nascente”
Bom caminho.

It ain't bragging if you have the heart of a pilgrim and you my friend have the biggest I have ever met. I am sure you are giving back every day. You just gave me a gift. Thanks smooch and I will enjoy your photos!!!
Sorry It56ny but I stopped updating my profile about the Caminhos I’ve walked and signed. After the 40th Caminho it looks like bragging...
More then walking Caminhos my biggest challenge is to give back to other pilgrims what i received on the Caminho by creating and maintain the Caminhos and help other pilgrims to give their first step.
Please enjoy the photos of this long trip of gratitude
