Camino Frances (2014) Northern Route (2015)
Hi! Walked Camino Frances last summer and had an amazing night camping outside. Didn´t have a proper sleeping bag though. Are walking the Northern/Primitivo route this summer, june-july, and want to sleep outside again, and will buy a sleeping bag. Can´t find much information about the night temperature in northern Spain. Any one know where to look for that?

Best, Kim

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
One suggestion would be to look at the tourist information site for some of the cities along your route, i.e. Santander, etc. They will have historic weather data regarding highs, lows and rainfall.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Another would be to send a PM to @angulero . He has an interest in the weather and posts here in Spanish with a translation. You might need to send and translate into Spanish, but it is worth trying to make contact with him IMO.

Thank you! You are all so helpful!

Its very dependent on you're altitude, as a guide if i remember rightly you lose about a degree centigrade for every 100m of elevation. Much of the Primitivo is quite high so will probably be quite chilly at night even in June/July

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Ultreia!

Great! I´ll probably buy a sleepingbag I also can use in north of Sweden during summer, seems like summer temperature in the north of Sweden and Primitivo are about the same.
