Norte in November?

I'm planning to jump from the camino Castellano-Aragonés and join the Norte a bit west of Santander in mid November. I've been mostly very lucky with weather in central and southern Spain at that time of year (and always got soaked at least once in Galicia), but I assume it will be usually be more wet and windy near the coast?

According to mundicamino etc, most of the public albergues appear to be open at that time, and many of the private ones closed - anybody found the contrary?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Allan...
I am not sure what source of albergue information could be relied on for the Norte. Last year (2014) much of the information on the various sites was very hit and miss
You probably will just have to play it day by day.
November could be a bit nippy..but beautiful along the sea in November.
It is a great route...enjoy.

Get yourself a recently published guide (editorial Buen Camino for ex.) and then check with the Eroski and al. sites. The challenge will be distance between what is open at thtat ime of the year.

Yes. Average rain in November in Coastal Asturias or Coastal Cantabria is more than twice the average rain in, for example, Burgos. There are also more rainy days. In other words, in Coastal Asturias and Coastal Cantabria it usually rains more days than in Burgos (or León) and when it rains, the amount of rain is larger (than in, for example, Burgos or León).
