Not quite a May Baby!........

It is now upon us! We leave Sydney, Australia on Monday 16 April, with a couple of stopovers on the way, our plan is to be starting on our Camino from Roncesvalles on around the 23rd or 24th of April. But, I must say I am getting a bit worried about all this cold and miserable weather reports. We have been watching the weather for Pamplona and Barcelona, looks pretty wet & muddy. Am now really thinking if I have the right gear with me??

My preference is for sturdy outdoor trainers (Merrill), but my other half is sticking with his Hi Tech walking boots. We have a good mix of clothing, with layering of items as needed seeming the best way to go there. It is the footwear that is worrying me most. Any ideas? (especially given current weather conditions) I know there has been heaps of discussion on this, seems as many opinions as there are people interested in doing the Camino!

anyway, I am very excited - it is actually becoming real for us now - a couple of days and our journey really begins!!

cheers and thanks to all for this wonderful site (especially Ivar)

cheers,
Aunty Gen

Hi Gen, think I know exactly how you're feeling! Don't worry about the weather, everything will work out the way it's meant too.

It would be good to swap notes when we're both back, so until then good luck and Buen Camino.

Cheers ... Trudy
