Out on a training walk tonight pondering things, you all know what it's like, lots of time to reflect. Tonight's musings were about the whereabouts of the apostles. If presumably, Peter is in St Peters Basilica and James is in Santiago Cathedral, where are the other apostles whereabouts? Is it known? There must be some theories. The answer may be obvious to some but I really don't know.

Hello, efdoucette.
the bones of St Mathew are said to be in Trier, Germany in the St Matthias Basilica. The bones of Mary Magdalen are said to be in the Basilica at Vezelay, France. There is a 500 kilometre Jacobsweg (Camino) linking the two apostles graves.

For centuries. the body of Sant'Iago (Yaakov Ben Zebedi) was revered in the church of St-Saturnin in Toulouse (France).
There is a bone fragment of Sant'Iago in Segovia.
The main relic in Reading Abbey was the hand of St James. It was lost, then found, and last year was returned to St James' church. http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/catholi ... o-reading/

The author of the Liber Sancti Jacobi said that it was all lies that any part of the blessed St James was anywhere but in the crypt in Santiago.
