My son is going to join me in Triacastela to finish my journey to Santiago. Any recommendations as to getting from Paris to Triacastela?

That would be a lovely finish for you. I hope you work it out.
Using this link. https://www.rome2rio.com/ And keying in Paris to Triacastela on the search; most choices appear to be best to Santiago by plane and then a bus to triacastela. It’s many hours.
Is your son living in Paris ? If he’s flying from USA to meet up with you., maybe he could fly into Madrid first .. not so long but still several hours travel involved. He’s probably up for the challenge though.

No we live in So. Calif. Also since we plan to spend 3-4 days in Paris before we fly home together, it was less expensive to fly into Paris. I did happen to fly a flight from Paris to Santiago (2 hr flight) and then rent a car to Triacastela. It’ll be a long two days but I know it will be a trip of a lifetime

Paris flight to SCQ Santiago.

Empresa Freire bus from Santiago Airport direct to Lugo.

Monbus bus from Lugo to Sarria

Here it gets murky.

Rome to Rio says Empresa PortoMarin provides bus service from Sarria to Triacastela. However Empresa PortoMarin website does not say so. Monbus used to provide the service so it may be that changes are taking place now.

So best option is to go to Sarria and ask at the bus station. If there is no bus service, your only option is taxi.

I guess it works flight Paris to Madrid, Renfe train Madrid to Ponferrada (or Sarria) ALSA bus from Ponferrada to Pedrafita do Cebreiro. And ask if there is bus from there via Empresa PortoMarin and if not take taxi.

Looking at a map Triacastela is same distance from Sarria and Pedrafita do Cebreiro.
