Physiotherapists advise pilgrims how to get to their destination in good health

The College of Physiotherapists of the Region of Murcia has developed along with the Galician Association of Physiotherapists , the Pilgrim's Guide , a publication that offers tips and warnings for hikers to keep their health in the best conditions for the pilgrimage and know how to act in case of possible incidents.

These tips , drawn from a position of strict health , show social commitment of physiotherapists to ensure the health of citizens and pilgrims. Specifically , the main recommendations relate to how to plan and prepare physically to face the stage , choosing the most suitable type of backpack and how to fill and transport it and the type of shoes and clothing to be used . Just as the best walking techniques , the importance of hydration, foot care , how to combat fatigue, what to do when they suffered some type of injury and the way for pilgrims with disabilities .

The 76 page "Health Tips Handbook" published by the Official Colexio of Physiotherapists of Galicia has been published in four languages : Galician , Spanish , English and French, with the aim of reaching as many pilgrims as possible. (Englosh starts on page 31)

The College of Physiotherapists of Murcia has posted it on its website to make it available to all pilgrims who walk to Murcia to Caravaca or the Camino Santiago de Compostela. http://www.cfisiomurcia.com/modules/myd ... egrino.pdf
