Morning all
When I came through Santiago airport last year we were able to load hiking poles in the hold free of charge with Ryan Air
.
Has anyone used them recently and is this policy still in place
.
Thanks Mick

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Security won’t let you take them through either. I saw a girl give up her poles to TSA a few weeks ago at Santiago airport.

It's always security, not the airline who decides if something can go in the cabin. Whether or not to charge to put them in the hold is up to the airport.
(And TSA is the name if the agency in the US only)
