I downloaded GPS tracks for the connection which I found very useful. I will try to find the file and post it here. I used maps.me to open it.I hope to walk part of the Portuguese Camino
in July and need info on crossing from the Coastal route eg from Vila do Conde to Rates to join the Central route. Any info please about links.
Thank you. Is it way marked as I find that easier than using gps filesI've posted the file as a resource
Many thanksI crossed over 2 years ago and it was straight forward and marked. It involved some road walking.
Yes, it is way marked, but I like having the gps tracks as back up.Thank you. Is it way marked as I find that easier than using gps files

I second all that about the municipal albergue and the restaurant is a wonderful meal and fun place. Great maps, btw!!I crossed over in October 2019. The municipal albergue is modern with hot showers, good beds, washing machine and just 7.50 euros. If you stay there be sure to check out the aqueduct just a few blocks to the east. The first building north of the Albergue (across the parking or paved lot) has a restaurant that is very good and inexpensive and open later than the others close by. I also recommend the app Maps.me No matter where you are on the camino (if you have purchased and downloaded the inexpensive routes) you can find your way back to the trail or a town, hotel or restaurant etc... I'll try to leave some visuals for you.
edit: FYI - to avoid any confusion and a bad choice - The Google Map pics show another "Blue" track/route that leaves Vila do Conde on a more north-east route. The Brierley Guide book shows this route with Grey colored dots. It is not recommended because it is not well marked.
