Public transport from A Coruna airport to Santiago tonight?

Hi, rookie error as we should have looked into this before ... but we need to get from A Coruna airport to Santiago this evening, not sure the fastest/most frequent route. Looks like we will need to take an Alsa bus from the airport to A Coruna centre, then train to Santiago. Our flight is due in at 17.15 but we need to collect a checked bag (walking poles) so probably won't make the 17.30 bus. The bus for A Coruna centre seems to only go hourly so we'd be stuck at the airport another hour. Has anyone done this trip recently? Grateful for any advice!

These appear to be your train options.

Is a taxi affordable? Google Maps suggests a 13 minute car journey to thr train station.

Easter Saturday may also be a factor with transportation options. It could be busy.

Good luck

Thanks for the information ...As it transpired, our flight was delayed and we just missed the bus, next not for another 1.5 hours... But we shared a taxi to the railway station with two other pilgrims who also arrived disappointed at the bus stop. Euro 25.50 split four ways and quick, pleasant journey.

Did the train work out?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Did the train work out?
The train did work out, we had about an hour's wait which we used having a very nice sandwich at the station cafe, but if we'd not taken the taxi from the airport we'd have missed that train and had to take one an hour later. £6.30 each for the ticket from A Coruna to Santiago, clean, quiet comfortable train and lovely scenery

Delighted for you. Station food in Spain is generally good quality and well priced!

Buen Camino, Donal
