RENFE Train Ticket Refund

Time of past OR future Camino
I have walked from SJPP to Burgos in 2017
Will begin Burgos to Compostela in May of 2018
Hi and Hola:
I'm going back to Spain to complete the Camino in May. I'll be flying into Madrid, then taking the Renfe to Burgos - meeting with friends. Originally my daughter was going with me, but she cannot make it. There is a wonderful couple and their friend going, along with another who will be joining us in Leon. To make a long story short, I have an extra Renfe train ticket from Madrid to Burgos but I cannot figure out how to get a refund on the train ticket. It's a promotional fare. If I cannot get a refund, i will definitely give it away to anyone who needs it. It's for May 27, 2018 at 0800 hours (Madrid-Ch to Burgos)

Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Hola again Olivia,

Check the fine print on the ticket because EU regulations are more forgiving then American transportation systems. I and others I know have received refunds on Promotional Fare tickets even when they say no refunds.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Probably no refund. It may be possible to exchange it. Promotional tickets are use or lose. Sell it or give it away.

Thank you and I'm going to remain optimistic. :)

A late arriving airplane at Barajas caused me to miss my train. Renfe: "Too bad." No credit, no refund, no anything. I bought another ticket.
