The cathedral at le Puy has released a video where they explain (in French) they are sorely in need of funds, having missed the usual 40,000 euros from pilgrims during lockdown. If you would like to donate please do; or just watch the video and think of le chemin.

Support Puy-en-Velay Cathedral sanctuary

Due to the corona virus epidemic and the resulting confinement the Cathedral of Le Puy finds itself in a critical financial situation. Although we have already entered the season which normally enables the Sanctuary to function for the rest of the year, we have almost no financial resources left.

The article is about the cathedral in Le Puy, not the abbey in Conques. I have walked that walk and have memories of both.

Attempted a donation, but required full sign in with passwords, etc. Will keep an eye for a simpler format. Was here for mass last September (i'm not Catholic) and they treat pilgrims very special.
