Time of past OR future Camino
Planning to walk the Camino between Tui and Santiago in April 2015, after Easter
Apart from Saint James the Greater and St Roch, what other saints are associated with the Camino Portugues?
Thanks

Saint Benedict or São Bento is an important saint in Portugal in Portugal. See more in this thread. Of couse when in Porto visit the splendid São Bento railroad station built c.1900 on land that once had held a monastery dedicated to the saint.

Saint John of Ortega (his remains are in the church in…wait for it…the village of San Juan de Ortega!!!! ). And don’t forget his mentor, Saint Dominic of Calzada who is interred in Santo Dominguez de Calzada.

Crossing the Frances, the Camino Ignaciano follows the footsteps of Saint Ignatius and connects Loyola to Manresa, birthplace of the principles of the Ignatian Order of the Catholic Church. His disciple Saint Xavier came from Javier on the Camino Aragon, about 20 miles from Pamplona.

And it’s been said that multiple other saints walked the journey
