I was hoping somebody may have advice on traveling from the Santiago de Compostela airport to O Cebreiro in early September? It appears like there is a bus that departs daily at 11:15 a.m. from the airport but it seems that it may be a local. It makes about 60 stops which is fine if it gets me there. I was wondering if I was reading the schedule correctly, if anyone had experience with this, or if there may be a reasonable alternative. Thank you all.

The bus does pick you up at the airport and does get you to O Cebreiro. It's takes about 2 ½ hours because, as you note, makes multiple stops along the way, actually along The Way, so you will see all the places you will be walking through in the following few days!

Hello! We are looking at the same route. Did you end up taking the bus? :)

An alternative might be an ALSA bus from Santiago to Pedrafita and walk up to O Cebreiro from there. There is supposed to be a signposted path. Not quick but the timings may suit you better.

Hello Jacques. I did take it and it went well. The bus picks you up at the bus terminal area at the airport right outside baggage claim around 11:15. While it says there are sixty stops, that’s if there is someone getting on or off there. There are really just a handful. O Cebreiro was the second to last stop and by then the bus was pretty empty. As Tali said earlier, you also get to see a bit of the path on which you will be walking.

Wonderful, thank you!! We are nervous and excited for our first camino.

Hi! I'm trying to find the website for the bus from the airport to Pedrafita so I can reserve it. Do you mind sending it?
