i have a bit of an odd plan
your feedback would be much appreciated.
I want to arrive in Santiago from LAX, then take the train to San sebastian, then to Bayonne, then to SJPP.
Walk my full camino, then leave from Santiago.
Would that be possible?

Almost all modern electronics are both 110v and 220v, so you probably do not need a converter. Check the label on the devices you will be taking. You will need an adapter for U.S. plugs. The flat pins will not fit in the round holes of Spanish outlets.

Slightly off-topic tip: After inadvertently having left many adapters stuck in the socket when I pulled out my device, I now use duct tape to tape the adapter to the plug. Adapters are very cheap, but replacing them in a small town can be difficult.

Hi Tony.
My advice to get from Santiago to San Juan is this.
From Santiago to Pamplona in Alvia (fast train).
From Pamplona to Roncesvalles by bus.
From Roncesvalles to Saint Jean in Taxi (Shared with another pilgrims)

You don't need a converter. You can purchase an adapter from the Rick Steves Travel store - last time I checked they were selling for $1 You can also buy them in any "China Store" (like a dollar store) in Spain.
