I may be remembering wrong, but the free bus which takes you to T4, from where the long distance buses leave, used to depart T1 from the Arrivals floor.
It now leaves from Departures, one floor up. At T4, it also stops at Departures, level 2, and you have to go down to level 0 for the buses. (Go in to the terminal and take a lift.)
