Skippable Stages?

Currently on Norte and it's starting to look like we may need to yellow blaze a few stages in order to make it to Muxia by our end date of Oct 30.

If we had to bus or train past a stage or two, which would be the best ones to skip? Would it be better to skip one or two stages entirely, or just skip bits here and there?

For reference, we're currently in Mogro outside Santander, after taking the train in Boo.

I think that you have plenty of time to get to Muxía without skipping any stages. Is your plan to continue on the Norte or take the Primitivo?

Primitivo, but we're also planning on taking a couple Zero Days here and there, hence feeling we may need to skip a stretch here or there to make it up.

If you are already in Santander, believe me you will have plenty of time to get to Muxia by the end of this month, even if you take some days to rest/enjoy the area. One thing to take into consideration would be that if you are interested in receiving the Compostela, then make sure that you give yourself plenty of time on the last 100 kilometers. Buen Camino!

I agree, you have plenty of time. Donť worry, you"ll make it. The Primitivo is more difficult than the Norte after Santander and maybe the weather will become worse, so if I were you, I'd plan shorter sections on the Primitivo.

Or, just continue on the Norte and save the Primitivo for another time.

I support your decision to skip one or two. Everyone should do what's comfortable and feels right. I skipped one segment because it was mostly a paved road in the city, I think it was from Gijón to Avilés. When I was walking Camino Porto, I took a taxi through the downtown Vigo to avoid walking the crowded city pavements. Buen Camino!

Thanks. And yeah, we have time to make it currently, but who knows what could happen. I have a tricky knee that could cause me issues down the road. As much as I appreciate everyone's "You can do it!" spirit, I just wanna know what bits are skippable should it come to it. Attaboys are great, but I'm trying to plan logistics.

Thanks for the input. I'm definitely considering skipping the long pavement walking sections. The hike out of Santander was garbage.
