Walked with a Camelback 1L bottle clipped to the front of my pack. Repatriated home due to illness, bouts of nasty bacterial bronchitis. Has anyone had experience with sterilizing water bottles? No dishwasher but did have a tin cup and immersion coil. Hindsight is 20-20 and didn't think of this till back at home. Wrote to the manufacturer but didn't hear back. We plan to finish in the fall and hope to be wiser about this.

Steradent tablets. Or Milton.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I am not using water bladders / camel bags for a variety of reasons, one is indeed the difficulty to keep them clean. Instead I use simple PET bottles which can be washed easily in a kitchen sink and / or replaced for cheap on the way. Additionally I also see better how much water I have left over and they are easy to refill. SY

Thank you for the tip about Milton. Was able to order some tablets from amazon.com without shipping charges even though they came from the UK.
