Just do your shopping on Saturday - or is that too problematic?

SianiH,
If on Sunday's walk you are planning to climb the Alto de Perdon please be aware that there are very few places to eat/drink between Cizur Menor and Puente La Reina. Be prepared. Carry water and snacks.

Hi Siani you will find in the cities and larger towns cafes will be open but usually an hour or so later Buen Camino

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Yes. The shops close on Sunday, but the cafes and bars do a rollicking business. The only food services that generally close sundays are high end restarants that only open in the evenings.
Quite a few smaller places also close on a Sunday just because the owner decides to do something else--like go to the beach. Good idea to ALWAYS have something to eat in your pack.

LOL

I never was able to keep track of what day of the week it was on the Camino. The only time I had a clue was when I would walk by a church and there were cars in the parking lot - then it was probably Sunday.

As said above, I also never had any trouble finding food on the Camino, unless I was looking for a grocery and it was still siesta time.

ALWAYS have emergency rations with you, even if just a packet of dried soup and some gorp. You never know know when you, or someone you encounter, might need your basic provisions.

Buen Camino.
